Nick Alexander - Chairman

Nick has 25 years experience in senior management and has been responsible for managing some of the world's most successful entertainment companies. Oxford educated, Nick worked at British Rail and EMI before joining Virgin in 1983 to start its videogame company which he ran until 1991 when the business was divided and the major part sold to Sega.

After the sale of the video game business to Sega, Nick became CEO of Sega Europe, before leaving in 1994 to join the Pearson Group to start a new magazine and video publishing division. While at the company, Nick bought Future Publishing for Pearson for £52.5m until selling it three years later for £142 million.

Since then Nick has had a portfolio career working as a director or consultant for a wide range of companies both PLCs and private, as well as helping with two IPOs and several other fundraising exercises. Nick was appointed Chairman of Player X in 2005.

Joshua Green - Board Member

Joshua is a Principal at Arts Alliance and is responsible for investments in the consumer internet, media and mobile sectors. He was key to Arts Alliance’s entry into the online DVD rental business with the creation of Lovefilm where he served as interim CFO. Joshua also serves on the board of BlinkBox, Montecristo and previously served on the board of Lovefilm. Before joining Arts Alliance in 2003, Joshua helped found a biotech start-up and has worked in intellectual property and as a consultant for PA Consulting Group. Joshua has a degree in Theoretical Physics from Cambridge and an MSc in Finance from Birkbeck.

Ynon Kreiz - Board Member

Ynon was previously Chairman of the Board of Management, President and CEO of Fox Kids Europe N.V. (FKE), which he co-founded with Haim Saban in October 1996. In less than five years from its launch, Fox Kids became the fastest growing pay-TV channel and most widely distributed children’s channel in Europe and the Middle East, broadcasting via cable and satellite in 56 countries, reaching more than 32 million households in 17 languages.

FKE went to IPO in November 1999 and the majority shareholding in the company was sold to the Walt Disney Company in October 2001. Ynon resigned from his position at FKE in December 2002, but remained affiliated with Saban Capital Group. Ynon recently joined the Supervisory Board of the leading German broadcasting group ProSiebenSat1, which was acquired by Saban Capital Group along with a group of private equity investors. Ynon is also on the boards of Codemasters and NASN and he is currently a partner at Venture Capital company, Benchmark Capital.

Per Anders von Zelowitz - Board Member

Per joined Nordic Venture Partners in 2004 and has been involved with investments in communications, digital media, consumer and enterprise software and services.

Prior to joining Nordic Venture Partners, Per was an investment manager with Argnor Wireless Ventures and a strategic advisor with Northstream, now VeriSign. Argnor is an early-stage venture capital firm and Northstream is a strategic consulting firm serving the telecommunications industry. Earlier, Per was an underwriting officer with the Chubb Group in the United States.

He received an MBA with a focus on Entrepreneurship and Strategy from the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom and a BA in Economics and Environmental Studies from Macalester College in the United States. Per is currently completing a BSc (Honours) in Information and Communication Technologies from the Open University. Per serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of Macalester College.

George Pennock - Board Member

George is a founding partner at Beamreach Capital, where his focus in on providing development capital for established Western European businesses in the media, leisure, financial and support service sectors. He has spent the last eleven years investing in high growth European businesses.

George was previously a director at LongAcre Partners, where he also headed up the firm’s investment activities. He continues to manage the LongAcre investment in Player X on behalf of the LongAcre investors. Before joining LongAcre, he was COO at Pi Capital and prior to this worked at Botts & Company in London and Munich and for Goldman Sachs in London. George has an MA in History from Oxford University.

Tony Pearce - CEO

Tony has 12 years experience in senior management in the entertainment industry. He has been instrumental in launching some of the largest games brands into the mobile market including EA and Disney mobile content while at Digital Bridges, one of the leading mobile phone content providers of entertainment.

As Global retail Sales Director he was instrumental in launching mobile phone games into the European retail market. Prior to this role, Tony was a co-founder and Business Development Director of Digimask, a technology solution for the games industry. Between the period of 1995-99, Tony was Sales Director at Telstar and helped launch their video games division.

Tony co-founded Player X with Ari Honka in December, 2003.

Tassos Kazinos - COO

Tassos has more than 10 years experience in the technology and media industries and prior to joining Player X, he was the CEO of Neos Interactive, a software development company providing broadband entrainment services to luxury hotels worldwide. Before Neos, Tassos co-founded Fish Eye, LLC, an independent film production company in Los Angeles and worked in Boston for Bain & Company, a leading strategy consulting firm. While at Bain, he consulted to private equity, media and telecommunications companies on business strategy and acquisitions. Tassos has an MBA from Harvard Business School and he is a graduate of the London School of Economics.
